The strongest case against the bullish read is straightforward: China has built a demonstration economy with capital-markets valuations. Exports are up 210 percent, but from a base of a few thousand units; a 98,000-yuan price is affordable only if the machine can do a paid job reliably; and the 10,000-unit deployment target is a government goal, not a market outcome. Structurally, the supply-chain depth and cost curve are real regime changes that will not reverse - China's position as the low-cost, full-chain producer of humanoids is now embedded, and that alone reshapes the global competitive map regardless of which brands survive.
The base case is that China ships tens of thousands of humanoids in 2026 and the sector consolidates around a handful of scaled producers with state-backed application pipelines. The upside case is that component localization and assembly-line cadence cut costs faster than expected, pulling in private-sector demand ahead of policy targets.
